Proposed Changes to Pima County Facility Impact Permit

The Pima County Flood Control District is proposing new rules regarding the permitting of improvements on District property and/or that impact District infrastructure. The rules mostly change the process for getting authorization since the current method, Right of Way permit, has weaknesses and does not do a good job in some instances. The submittal requirement don’t change substantively, but are better explained in the proposed rule. It is likely that the cost of the permit will be less than that of a ROW permit as the goal is said to not be cost recovery, but better process control.
