Home builders name Whyde as chairman

Michael Whyde, executive vice president of Pepper Viner Homes, has been named chairman of the Southern Arizona Home Builders Association.  Whyde replaces Steven Washburn, owner of Washburn Custom Homes, who stepped down recently for personal reasons.

Whyde previously served as board chairman in 1998 and is a SAHBA life director. He has been with Pepper Viner Homes since 1994, and his 31 years in the home-building industry include positions with Richmond American Homes and Sonoran Homes.
