Arizona property rights group warns of unnecessary waivers

Municipalities and other local government agencies are apparently attempting to thwart the will of voters who approved the Private Property Rights Protection Act Proposition 207 on the November ballot by requiring waivers before providing property owners with basic services.

Arizona HOPE, which introduced and supported the ballot proposition, called the new wave of forced waivers for water, sewer or electrical hookups, as part of any formal zoning change request, “a tantrum” by local officials “because they didn’t get their way.”

Property owners facing such red tape are encouraged to go http://www.hopeforarizona.com/ for help.
