New Insect Screens Enhance Views

For Southern Arizonans who have kept their air conditioners on all summer, relief comes during these few months when opening a door or window naturally cools a room. While opening a window or door helps the airflow, the screens, to keep out those creepy crawlers, often distract from the view.

Stan Greer Millworks has a solution.

“Andersen Windows & Doors' TruScene has improved on the average insect screen to give consumers protection from insects without detracting from their view,” Danny Butler of Stan Greer Millworks said.

TruScene insect screen provides greater airflow and clearer views.

The screens provide 50 percent more clarity than standard aluminum insect screens and are available in many different colors and finishes to match existing windows in the home.

“Homeowners can order screens to add to Andersen 200 and 400 series windows already in place, or they can select new windows, from the same series, with the TruScene insect screens for their home,” said Butler, a SAHBA member.

The light and durable screens are just as easy to install as standard aluminum screens and can be done easily by the homeowner.

TruScene insect screen is made with a micro-fine stainless steel mesh that's one-third the diameter of the conventional screen wire to let more fresh air and sunlight in, while protecting against insects. The stainless steel material used in these screens make them less visible from outside the house.

The screens also are built to last; they are corrosion resistant and have a special UV stable coating to prevent the mesh from being damaged by the sun.

“With TruScene, customers are given a more attractive home and better view of the outdoors,” said Butler.
