Fun for Kids on Summer Break
Soon, kids will be out of school and on summer break, left with a lot of free time on their hands.
The National Association of Home Builders (NAHB) has a solution.
The NAHB Women's Council has created an educational Homes of our Own coloring book for kids. Available online, the eight-page book can be colored with cyber tools, printed blank and colored with crayons, and there is a blank page for drawing.
Kids even can email their drawings to friends and family. Children who color online also can submit their drawing to receive a printable Junior Home Builder Certificate.
The coloring book was created by the Women's Council as a way to demonstrate the positive changes builders bring to communities, to children, teachers, and caregivers. It also teaches kids about home construction, different types of housing, and the environment.
