Homeownership Made Easy; Work with a Professional

The Southern Arizona Home Builders Association (SAHBA) is celebrating National Homeownership Month during June.

“New home ownership is recognized as the cornerstone of family security, stability and prosperity. It strengthens the community, encourages civic responsibility, and provides a solid base from which residents can work to support their families and achieve their personal goals,” said SAHBA President Ed Taczanowsky.

Builders and contractors have recognized the ideals they help add to communities.

“In general, there are values home building professionals follow to conduct business,” said Taczanowsky. “They believe new homes should be well designed, built and located in attractive communities. Also, they need to have easy access to education, recreational and shopping facilities.”

Professionals know they are working for the customers who will live in their homes. Advancement in construction is important to builders because it benefits all parties.

“An important sign of professionalism is whether the builder or contractor belongs to a home builders association like SAHBA,” said Taczanowsky. “SAHBA encourages its members to research and develop new materials, building techniques and equipment, and improve methods of financing in order for buyers to receive the best value for their money.”

When buying a new home, a package of services and a relationship with the builder also comes with the deal.

“For the most part, the quality of a new home will be determined by the skill of the building professional,” said Taczanowsky. “You will be in contact with your builder during and after the construction process. Choose a builder you feel comfortable working with and feel best understands your personal needs.”

Home ownership is different for each individual. Professional builders have the knowledge and experience to help buyers through the process and tailor it to their needs.

“For many, buying a new home will be the single largest purchase they'll ever make,” said Taczanowsky. “Make sure to protect that investment by buying a dream home from a qualified professional builder.”
