Bauer and McCaleb Receive Awards for Excellence
The Southern Arizona Home Builders Association (SAHBA) awarded Bauer Homes and McCaleb Construction for excellence in home building at its annual awards banquet in January. Bauer Homes was named 2007 Custom Builder of the Year and McCaleb Construction was honored as 2007 Remodeler of the Year.
These awards are two of SAHBA's highest honors given to its members. Winners are chosen based on criteria such as professionalism, ethics, product quality and community service.
Brad and Sandy Bauer have been involved with SAHBA's Certified Custom Builder Program since 1995. The husband and wife team work closely with their clients to create the perfect home.
“People know to call Brad direct about anything structural and call me about cabinetry or other products,” Sandy said.
The Bauers aim to limit the number of projects they take on each year to four homes. Careful project selection has enabled these builders to create homes with meticulous attention to details. The Bauers believe that creating a living space for people requires getting to know their clients, sometimes even over dinner.
McCaleb Construction also knows the importance of listening to the client. Owners John and Judy McCaleb must work with home owners to create extraordinary renovated spaces from existing structures.
John accepted the honor of Remodeler of the Year for a project that involved the addition of a detached guest house, covered porch, and remodel of the main house. They worked together with their client to create a home with extra room and dynamic curb appeal.
McCaleb Construction participates on the SAHBA Remodelers, Safety Committee, and Green Build Council. It has operated in Tucson for over 25 years and completed over 90 projects last year.
The company has gained respect in the industry by renovating homes with creativity, quality design and strong ethics. McCaleb has been recognized four times for that excellence as one of the 101 Best Companies to Work For in the Residential Construction Industry by Professional Remodeler Magazine .
