PC Riparian Habitat Off-Site Mitigation Guidelines

Pima County has just released the proposed draft of the riparian habitat off-site mitigation guidelines, available here. These guidelines are very significant for those developing in unincorporated Pima County. SAHBA staff has been working with Flood Control staff, and other stakeholders, to ensure the new guidelines do not adversely impact our members. But we need your professional assistance in achieving the right guidelines. Please review the drafts and provide your comments to david@sahba.org.

Regional Visioning Process – Short Survey

SAHBA Members, Imagine Greater Tucson, is a regional visioning and community planning effort. They are surveying people about why they live in the region and what do they see as our challenges. Take a few moments to fill out the survey and make your voice heard: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/IGTsurvey.

Youth Group Needs Help!

The Atturbury-Lyman Audubon Youth Employment and Enrichment Program needs your help. This group of motivated students helps maintain a nature sanctuary along the Atturbury Wash. Unfortunately a couple weeks ago vandals burned down their tool shed. They are looking for temporary (and permanent) options – such as a mini-roll off – to store their equipment. If you can help, please contact Renee at the Ward 4 City Council office at 791-3199.
