Name: Southern Arizona Home Builders Association (since 1961). Established in 1952 as Tucson Home Builders Association with 15 builder members.

Membership: 700 member firms

Location: 2840 N. Country Club Rd. Tucson, AZ; 85716. Building owned by SAHBA; designed and built in 1971 by member John Wesley Miller. Full-time staff of 15 to give members support.

Impact: Construction is the fifth largest segment of Pima County's work force, with one in six people (19,000) employed in a construction-related job. In 1999, the construction industry in greater Tucson generated more than $677 million in local income and more than $61 million in local taxes.
